Hello
I'm Elaine Lindridge

Over the years, I’ve noticed a common theme in many of the conversations I've had with others. Namely, as I’ve been honest about my changing understanding of God, the Bible, Christianity, and life in general, others have admitted deep thoughts that have largely been unexpressed for fear of misunderstanding. I found myself wondering if I could help by writing down some of my questions and discoveries in a book. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing this and now offer it to you in the hope that it will either help you personally, or help you to give space to others as their understanding of faith changes. Some might see these questions as a journey of deconstruction, but I'm not so keen on that word as it presumes either some sort of reconstruction or an abandonment of previously held beliefs (in my case, Christianity). I don’t think I am deconstructing my faith - rather, I am remembering and uncovering things that have been forgotten or hidden.
As well as writing, I love walking, having meaningful conversations, asking lots of questions and eating nice food. I am a coach and work for the Methodist Church supporting people who work at the edges of what some view as church. Home is in the beautiful North East of England with my husband, Stephen.
